03.16.14-Sunday

I am having so much trouble staying focused and drumming up some energy.  I so dislike when things become a "chore" or a "job" ... makes it seem more like 'work'.  My taste buds seem to be slightly off and some things taste kinda funny.  For breakfast I was gently-prodded to eat sausage, eggs and toast.  I think he's fixing pork chops for dinner.  Sundays are always a weird eating time for me.  I grab something in the morning and then don't eat again until after all service, which is usually around 2p or 3p. and then I'm trying to figure out am I eating two dinners on one day cause I'm always looking for something around 7p.

3.13.14-Thursday

Blood Sugar is higher than usual this morning ... Not feeling too well and really want to go home.  Breakfast was a combo ... had a Glucerna early this morning and then switched up and ate what I typrically was eating for lunch (bologna, chips).  Have another shake for lunch, a boiled egg and a tuna kit is on standby.

Nausea is keeping me company this morning.

3.12.14-Wednesday (Hump Day)

Boy I truly know the meaning of THAT phrase today!  Breakfast was a BK moment and lunch was a repeat.  I'm planning doing some substitute shakes in the coming days, so we'll see how that works.

3.11.14-Tuesday

Wooooooooo ... I'm slipping!!!  Forgetting to take pictures of my food!!  Did a quick one this morning: Blueberry Pop Tart, Coffee and for snacking a cutie and a banana.  Will click a pic of my lunch when it's time.  Chicken Salad Sandwich (made by hubby), Chips (my weakness) and my bottle of water.  Don't know what dinner will be as I have a meeting with the Sisters Network to talk about being a Breast Health Research Champion (BHRC), something very important to me. :o)  We advocate breast health, education, clinical research and the use of biospecimens.  As a survivor a healthier lifestyle is very important.

3.9.14-Sunday

Awesome church services today! !
Breakfast at church was fried apples,  eggs, fried potatoes, biscuit, bacon and sausage (all very small portions).
Sunday dinner was baked chicken breast, rice with teriyaki vegetables.

I am down 6 pounds!

3.8.14-Saturday

Made it to the weekend!   Ate a very late meal this morning,  around 10:30am.  Consisted of 2 hotdogs and Ramen Noodles without the flavor packet.

Lunch was a cheeseburger wrap and then we headed out to the YMCA.   21 minutes on the Nustep and 20 minutes on upper body weights.   Then we hit the Dollar General and I walked for 20 additional minutes.

For dinner (around 6pm) I had sweet peas mixed with chicken and dumplings.   That's when I finally remembered to take a picture.


I still have a good amount of calories left, so think I'll do my insulin, eat my snack and call it a night.

03.07.14-Friday (TGIF)

Well ... good morning ... feeling some kinda way for several reasons.  'Breakfast' was at 8:45, sort of a repeat from yesterday, minus the yogurt for my snack.  I may do oatmeal as a snack today ... to keep me full. 

Chicken Noodle Soup, Ezekiel Bread with PB and water.
I already know lunch will be a repeat from yesterday ... can't wait to go grocery shopping next week.
Okay, dinner was just a little after 6p and I had to supplement my meal with a small order of Burger King's SatisFries ("BIG TASTE, LESS FAT Introducing SATISFRIESTM, a new great tasting crinkle-cut french fries with 40% less fat and 30% fewer calories.").  My cheeseburger consisted of cucumber slices, onions, 1 slice of white american cheese and one extremely lean hamburger patty on 2 slices of Nature's Own Honey Wheat bread.  Topped off with the infamous diet 7-Up.  For whatever reason ... I found myself still hungry, so I fixed a salad at 7:15p.  Tonight's snack (if any) will definitely be light.  I still have 188 calories left for the day and I'm going to try NOT to use them.

Thursday-03.06.14

Well ... got a late start on breakfast ... it's 9:31 and I'm just sitting down to Chicken Noolde Soup and Peanut Butter on Genesis Bread.  Got my bottle of water, yogurt for my snack and will probably do a repeat of yesterday's lunch.  No grocery shopping until next week ... sigh.


So ... yup ... today's lunch is a repeat of yesterday, minus the fig bars.  Can I cheat and just post the picture from yesterday?  I think so ;0)


Remember now ... it's minus the figs!!!   Okay ... I gave in and ate the figs ... sigh ...

Here's dinner (6p), 1-center cut pork chop, 1/2 cup of sweet peas and a 1/2 cup of potato salad, my drink of choice- diet 7-Up (only drank 4 ounces).


And here's my Insulin snack and I am still under my calorie goal for the day!!!!

Picture this ...

One of my co-workers just shared an awesome weight loss idea that she came across on youtube!!   I typically track what I eat by logging onto myFitnesspal.  She suggested taking pictures of the food you eat throughout the day and that way you can look back over your meals and SEE what it is you’re eating.  I think just taking the picture will make me decrease the amount of food or change what’s on my plate, cause I don’t want to know (see) I’m overeating or eating the wrong foods.  This blog will make it easier for me to keep my visual diary and look back over the weeks to see my patterns.  I'm cautiously excited :0)

I wasn't going to upload any food until tomorrow, but I figured why not start at lunch!
So here goes ...     


As you can see it's bottled water, a small bag of Ruffles, a bologna & cheese on wheat with mustard and 2 fig cookies.  Oh well ....

And here's dinner!!   

Sat down at 6p to eat 2-Baked Drumsticks, stuffing, potato salad and a diet 7-UP (not pictured).
I'm going to drink some more water, because I still feel a little hungry ... not sure why, but I do.  If it gets really bad I'll eat some yogurt before I go to bed.

Sooooo ... instead of yogurt I fixed a salad and some Crystal Light to take my pills ... notice the very lovely Beyond Boobs! cup.


Will definitely work on having some better (healthier) pictures tomorrow. :o)
